Robert E. “Bob” Worthen was born September 30, 1945 in Waverly, Ohio to Milburn and Mary Ann (Watkins) Worthen. He passed away March 13, 2026 at the age of 80.

Bob grew up in Chillicothe, Ohio and proudly served our country as a Sergent in the United States Marine Corps. He worked his way up in his career throughout his years, beginning at the state level as a guard and retired as Captain for the Federal Department of Corrections.

Bob was the 5th of seven children and was preceded in death by his siblings and wife, Ruth Ann. He is survived by his son, Robert Jr. “Bobby” Worthen, wife Melodee, their children: Madison, Cade, Ian and Mason of El Reno; daughter, Melissa Coombs, husband Keith, their children: Ethan, Shelby, and Savannah of Norman; daughter, Jade Schene, husband Tim, their children: Brandon, Austen and Dylan of Yukon; son, Terry Worthen Hanson, wife Michelle of Ohio. Bob is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
