Dr. Rodney James Miles, 59, passed away Nov 3, 2014 in Hughes Co. OK. The son of Orville James & Velma Gene (Laubach), Rodney was born Jan 17, 1955 in Okeene, OK. After graduating from Okeene High School in 1973, Rodney pursued his education with an undergraduate degree from OSU before earning his Medical Doctorate from OU. After serving 4 years at Tinker AFB, Dr. Miles started his private family practice in 1986. He had a great passion for helping others in need and desired to provide the best health care for his patients.
He has positively influenced countless lives throughout his career for than 32 years. On July 30, 1982, he married his sweetheart, Dawn Marie Stoyanoff and this union of marriage was blessed with two daughters, Deanna & Karissa, whom he was so proud of. Dr. Miles was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing in his spare time. His most cherished moments were those spent with his family & friends. He will be deeply missed by all, but will continue to live on in our hearts. Preceded in death by his mother. He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Dawn Marie Miles; daughters, Deanna & Karissa Miles; father, Chick Miles; sister, Sandra Lamle & husband, David; brothers, Randy Miles & wife, Lana, Ricky Miles and Ronnie Miles; and countless other family & friends who were very dear to him. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, Nov 8, 2014 at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S. Penn. Memorial donations may be made to the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, 3800 N.
