Rosemary Kay Corter was born on July 3, 1957 to Melfouse Thomas and Nola Mae Corter in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. With great peace in her soul, she entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, June 14th, 2015. Shortly after Rosemary was born, the family moved to Sacramento, California. After graduating from Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento , California in 1975; she attended Sacramento City College, graduating in General Business, class of 1977. After that she attended Cosumnes River College majoring in Videography and Photography and also Radio and Sound Engineering/ Music Production from 1982- 1983. She was first employed at The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company. She was hired temporarily for one year in the payroll department, then was hired on permanently to operate machines that mailed out the bills to Northern California and Nevada. Rosemary lived in Sacramento, California with her parents until November 1983 when she moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma. Shortly after, Rosemary was hired at Tinker Air Force Base, where she worked in several different departments until she retired in November 2013. Rosemary was greatly loved by her nephews and nieces who affectionately called her Aunt Rosie. That nickname was used by many other family, friends and the numerous young kids that came to her home especially at Christmas time. Rosemary was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Brother Joshua Dobbs on July 2, 2012. When Rosemary began her walk with the Lord, she never looked back. She was always busy in the service of the Lord. Many times she would be out visiting many different loved ones and brethren and offering words of comfort and encouragement. She also put countless hours into making special videos of babtizings, weddings and baby showers, hayride events, and many other activities. Many people have thoroughly enjoyed and been greatly comforted by the beautiful and heartfelt videos she created. Rosemary loved taking pictures and videos of her co-workers, friends, family, and loved ones. Frequently her video and picture taking was unexpected and often caught people doing things that were silly and embarrassing. Many times Rosemary would play pranks on people and then video their reactions. Then she would take great pleasure in showing the embarrassing actions over and over again to just about anyone she came in contact with. Rosemary is survived by her father Melfouse Corter and his wife Virginia of Parkland, Oklahoma; Brothers: Timothy and wife Sandra Corter of Argyle, Texas; and Charles and his wife Tina Corter of Harrah, Oklahoma. Nephews and nieces; Mitchell and wife Andrea Corter, Eric and wife Ashley Corter, Kyle Corter, Sarah and husband Tim Lau, Erin and husband Jake Gibson, Cari and husband Kevin Garvin, Shanda Corter, and Clayton Corter, Two great nephews and three great nieces, Brooklyn and Tyler Corter, Trinity Gibson, Amariah Garvin and Christopher Corter.
