Rosemary Ruth Walthall passed peacefully from this life on October 31, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born on May 12, 1938 in her hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana to Norman Russell Smith, & Ruth Alma Miller. After graduating from Mishawaka High School with honors, Rosemary married and relocated to Oklahoma City where she raised a family, attained her Associates Degree in finance and established many lasting friendships. Rosemary worked diligently for the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce for many years, then went on to be an Executive VP of Fidelity National Bank. Later, she became a small business owner in the banking and insurance industries until her retirement at 75. In addition to her exemplary work ethic, she was steadfast and determined in all that she pursued in life, at the same time being very loving and compassionate. Her greatest accomplishments will always be her children and grandchildren. She loved to host family gatherings, where she could have everyone together for food, fellowship and games. In addition to being with family, her favorite past-times included caring for her beloved cats and tending her rose garden with it's wide variety of roses that she regularly gave as gifts to add joy to people's lives. Rosemary will be forever remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and a true friend. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before her. She will be missed dearly.
