Rosetta McWaters, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 85. The second child of twelve born to Fairlene Beatrice (Easley) and Warren Everett Owens, Sr., Rosetta was born on May 28, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1957, Rosetta graduated from Central High School. Rosetta met a handsome young man by the name of Dan "Charles" McWaters and the two became inseparable and fell in love. They were united in holy matrimony in 1960 and this union of marriage was blessed with two sons, Gregory and Chuck, and more than 64 wonderful years together. Rosetta remained by her husband's side, following him wherever his work at Wilsey-Bennett Butter Company/Mid-America Farm Lines processing and distributing butter and cheese took him. They family enjoyed traveling and living practically all over the world, all the while Rosetta cared for her sons and was very involved in the all of the activities and endeavors. A very kind, thoughtful, generous and hardworking woman, Rosetta selflessly devoted her time and talents making a warm and loving home for her family where their journeys led. She was a devoted mother who made the lives of her children, the center of her world and was very involved with all of their endeavors throughout the years. Rosetta was known for her excellent cooking and beautifully handcrafted and crocheted blankets, table cloths, runner and gifts. A true matriarch, Rosetta prioritized spending time with her loved ones and exemplifying a true Proverbs 31 woman. She was an excellent listener and encourager, who loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She had the gift of truly seeing people for who they are and their unique gifts and talents. Furthermore, she was a quiet spiritual leader for the family, always pointing people to God's goodness, the power of prayer, and the peace that surpasses all understanding through following Jesus. Rosetta left a tremendous legacy that will be carried forward in the hearts and minds of those blessed to know and love her. Although her presence on earth has left a tremendous void, we rejoice in knowing we will be reunited in Heaven someday.
