Roy Lee Meler, 94, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully in the night of July 9, 2024. Roy's children were near his side as he went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ.

Roy Lee Meler was born May 4, 1930 in Sentinel Oklahoma to Ell and Lillie {Turner) Meler. Roy moved to Oklahoma City when he was in the 6th grade. He attended Capitol Hill Jr High and then onto Capitol Hill High School. In 1948, Roy graduated from Capitol Hill High school and went onto to attend The University of Oklahoma. He was a member of the band during Jr high, high school and a member of the Pride of Oklahoma where he played bass drum. While attending the University of Oklahoma he studied photography.

He met his love of his life in 1950, Patricia Jeanne Case. Roy and Patty raised their family in the church and were longtime members at Capitol Hill Baptist. Over the last several years, the family has been faithful members at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
