Ruby was born in Price, OK to Lee and Alma Lewis. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1935. She later attended Central State University working towards a degree in bookkeeping. She married Dewey Boswell in 1937 and together they had 3 children Tony, Nancy and Jan. Ruby loved gardening and sewing. In fact she was a professional seamstress and even made and designed children's clothing for Rothchilds and Kerrs. She also made many clothing items for her family. After her sewing business slowed down she began her career as a bookkeeper. She was employed at Tinker Field as a bookkeeper for nearly 25 years. She was a loving and very caring woman. Her mother lived with her for over three decades and Ruby eventually became her mother's caretaker until her passing at 100 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 20 years and father of her children, Dewey Boswell; son in laws Howard Burba and Jerry Stewart and special friend Joe Barton. She is survived by her three children, Tony Boswell, Nan Boswell and Jan Stewart; 2 grandchildren, Jerry Stewart and his wife Janene, and Denise Wyatt; & 3 Great Grandchildren, Matt and Paige Wyatt, and Jackson Stewart; and close family friend Phil Archer.
