Rudolph "Rudy" Galindo entered Heaven's gates on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 78. The son of Jesus and Cayetana (Davila) Galindo, Rudy was born February 29, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1954, Rudy graduated from Capitol Hill High School where he loved music and played the trumpet in the school band and guitar for his other music band. Rudy later earned a Business degree from Central State University graduating in 1977. He began a career as a procurement officer for the Federal Aviation Administration and retired after 37 years of dedicated service on April 1, 1994. On November 1, 1980, Rudy married Marjorie Thoms. Rudy was a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather, whose family meant everything to him. Rudy never missed an opportunity to attend the birthdays, activities or sporting events of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family at their lake house on Lake Eufaula. He was always looking for ways to help his family and friends. A stickler for details, Rudy had an innate ability to fix anything. He could always be found tinkering with objects or collecting tools, etc. He also enjoyed dancing, working out and watching football, especially the OU Sooners. Rudy was a man of his word, deep character and commitment, who will be deeply missed by all. Rudy was preceded in death by his: Parents; 7 year old son, Craden Dion Galindo; Son-in-law, Phillip Huffer; Step-daughter, Felicia Esquivias; 2 Brothers: Savino and Miguel Galindo. Rudy leaves behind his loving: Wife of 34 years, Marjorie Galindo; Daughters, Cynthia Huffer; Daughter, Andrea Galindo Vaughan and her husband, Mark; Step-daughter, Vanessa Esquivias Middleton and her husband, Brad; Brother, Joe Galindo and his wife, Laquetta; Sister, Consuelo Galindo-Colmer and her husband, Marvin; Sister, Mary Hinojosa and her husband, Rito; Grandchildren: Ryan Huffer and his wife, Amber, Darren Huffer and his wife, Trisha, Matthew Huffer, Tyler Vaughan, Annica Vaughan, Briley Middleton and Brycen Middleton; Great grandchildren: Brooklynn, Brady and Blakely Huffer; Many other loving family and friends.
