A memorial service to celebrate "Big Rudy" will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel.

Born June 4, 1946 in Oklahoma City to Frank & Marguerite Jiménez, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020. Rudy grew up learning the value of hard work at his grandmother, Marcaria's farm. Carrying those values & instilled them within his own children. Rudy lived life to it's fullest & on his own terms. On April 19, 1995 he took on a higher calling when he helped save several lives during the Oklahoma City bombing. Rudy was recognized by former President Bill Clinton as a true hero. He was proud of his Mexican heritage, passionate about family and loved his children & grandchildren. He spent time cooking, traveling, listening to music, writing poetry and sharing stories about his many adventures. Big Rudy, with his unique sense of humor and larger than life presence was unforgettable to all who met him. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Cristobal; uncle, Higinio "Cat" Jiménez & lifelong friend, Danny Williams. Rudy is survived by his children, Angela Jiménez-Calhoun & husband, Mark Calhoun, Raulyn Jiménez & husband, Carlos Suárez Juárez, Kristine "Annie" Jiménez, Michael Kiesel, Rudy Jiménez, Jr; grandchildren, Saxon, Santana, Sophia, Marcus, Seneca, Alexis, Adrian & great grandson, Parker; siblings, Frank "Babe", Tricia & Nick "Matt"; aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.
