IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Russell
Anglin
August 18, 1950 – May 20, 2024
Russell Dean Anglin, 73, passed away May 20, 2024. He was born on August 18, 1950 to Willard and Janiece Anglin in Jenks, Oklahoma.
Dean often described his childhood as a "Tom Sawyer" kind of life. Hiking in the woods, hunting, fishing, shooting his BB gun and raiding farmers' watermelon patches.
After high school, Dean enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He served on the USS Sacramento. He married the love of his life, Karen Sue Alinger on December 10, 1971 in Tulsa, OK.
Dean was a lifelong entrepreneur of many ventures. He owned and operated BBM Steel Buildings since 2011 where he remained involved in the daily operations. Dean maintained his CDL License for 55 years. He took pride in providing for his family. He was a lover of nature and anything that kept him outdoors. Construction was his passion; he could talk about construction equipment and machines all day. Classic cars were his hobby. He loved collecting cars and attending car shows.
During the last three years he has consistently been working on "The Fifty-One" his 51 acres of land where you could find him watching the wildlife, listening to music and taking in the view of the lake with a cup of coffee. He also loved working and developing the land with one of his "Big Boy Toys."
Most of all, Dean really loved his family and adored his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
