Sandra Sue Canaday, 86, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Sandra was raised on a family farm in Meriden Kansas, where she was born on November 9th, 1937 to Alpha & Lorraine "Tiny" (Brooks) Cook.
Sandra graduated from Meriden High School in 1955; during and after graduating she worked alongside her mother in the school cafeteria. She also worked as a secretary for a couple years in Topeka, Kansas.
Sandra dedicated her life to raising her children and grand-children in a Christian home. Prior to James Canaday's debilitating health problems, Sandra and her family were members of several Pentecostal and Full Gospel churches in the Oklahoma City community.
She was a gifted pianist and used her talents in various ministries of the church. She was a longtime supporter of St. Jude Hospital and Shriner's Hospital for children.

She leaves precious memories with those who survive,
Son, Russell Canaday and wife Rebecca;
Daughter, Christina VanValkenburg;
Son, Brian Canaday;
Grand-children: Daniel VanValkenburg, Austin Canaday & Joseph Canaday;
As well as numerous extended family members and several friends whose lives she touched.
