Sandra graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1965. After graduation, June 4th 1965, she married William Tom Keneda and immediately moved to Alaska where he was stationed in the Army. Family life centered around the Beacon Job Printing, Southern Hills United Methodist Church, Southside Athletics, and family activities. While raising her children, Sandra started taking a few classes at OCCC. There she found her love for literature and humanities. Semester by semester she continued in school with an Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, completing all but her dissertation at the University of Oklahoma. She could begin a teaching career at Rose State College or write her dissertation. Sandra chose to spend the next 25 years teaching literature and humanities at Rose State. Sandy loved the many trips the family made to the Seller's Farm in War Eagle, Arkansas. It was there she most enjoyed horseback riding. Once grandchildren arrived, Fridays at Grandmama's were for grandchildren. Fridays were filled with vivid imagination, play, cooking, and great fun. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Tom Keneda, and sisters, Judy Cathey and Carol Rubio. She is survived by sons Scott Keneda and wife Angela and Bill Keneda; daughter, Ruth Keneda; seven grandchildren, William Wright, Anna Keneda and husband Matt Clute, Thomas Keneda, Evin Keneda, Joseph Keneda, Max Turner, and William Turner and well as many other loved ones and friends.
