Sandy, 67, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was Born to Arkie & Velvie (Sloan) Davis in Oklahoma City. Sandy graduated from Central High School in 1965. On June 17, 1965 she married the love of her life Lindell Owens, who survives her. To this union were born 9 children, who also survive her; Daniel & wife Linda; Jason; Justin & wife Lindsey; Nick; Sherri Owens; Donna Ware & husband Bart; Teresa Owens; Victoria Guffin & husband Greg; Jennifer Flores & husband Corey ; 13 grandchildren; 3 brothers; Royce & wife Dorothy; Butch & wife Gail & Jerry Davis; sisters: Susan Velez & husband Casill & Terri Davis; sister- in-law; Ursala Davis & Sandy's lifetime friend Twyla Whitesell, whom she embraced as a sister & host of other loving family & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; precious granddaughter Rebekah Owens & brother Ronald Davis. Sandy was a loving & devoted wife, mother, grandmother & friend attending to all of the needs of her family on a daily basis, spending much of her time cooking, quilting & sewing. Sandy had a compassionate spirit & great love for all she came into contact with & found great joy in helping those in need. She will be remembered as the backbone of her church and especially her family & will be greatly missed by all. Services to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday April 24, 2014 @ 10 A.M. at the Church of the First Born 2744 W. California, OKC, with interment to follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday from 4-8 P. M. at the funeral home. .
