In Loving Memory of Sanjay Patel

April 6, 1976 – July 8, 2025

Sanjaybhai AmratBhai Patel was born in Lusaka, Zambia on April 6,1976 and passed away on July 8, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 49.

Sanjaybhai moved to the United States at the age of 14 and lived with his (motabapa and motiba) Uncle and Aunt in Shattuck, Oklahoma where he graduated High school in 1994. Sanjay attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma state University (SWOSU) in Weatherford from fall of 1994 where he earned his bachelor's degree in engineering in 1998 —a field that matched his quiet focus and problem-solving mind.

He is survived by wife Mayaben Sanjaybhai Patel and His daughter Priya Sanjay Patel along with his loving parents, Amratbhai and Manjulaben Patel; his sister Tinaben, her husband, and their two children; and his brother Amitbhai, his wife, and their two children. He also leaves behind many close family and friends. He was the calm, steady center of a close-knit family and friends that all loved him deeply.

Sanjay was known for his gentle spirit, quiet humor, and a heart as big as the ocean. He was a devoted husband to Mayaben for past 23 years and a proud, tender father to Priya, the light of his life for past 19 years. Their future together was full of plans—plans to grow old, to celebrate milestones—but he was taken far too soon, and we will mourn a loss of a beautiful and tender soul not only today but also in days, months and years to come.

To know Sanjay was to feel safe, seen, and cared for. He didn't speak loudly—but he lived loudly through his loyalty, love, and quiet strength.

We carry him now in memory, in every act of love and laughter he inspired.

Rest peacefully, Sanjay. We will miss you more than words can express.
