Dr. Seshachalam Dutta, born on October 25, 1931, died on October 31, 2015. He had his early education in India with a Masters Degree in Botany from Birla Collge, Pilani, India. He was chairman of the Botany Department at V.R. College in Nellore, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Seshachalam then came to the USA in 1967. He became an Assistant Professor at Creighton Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He has lived in Oklahoma City for over 40 years. Seshachalam was very active in local community and Temple. Member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. He was a very learned man with extensive knowledge in Hindu culture, Indian politics of his time, as well as American politics. Services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Vondel Smith North Colonial Chapel.
