IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Marjorie
Hall
June 2, 1950 – March 3, 2026
Sharon Marjorie (O’Shields) Hall passed away in Oklahoma City, March 3, 2026, after a short illness.
Sharon loved her family deeply and as a breast cancer survivor, took great joy in life’s simple pleasures— her wire-haired fox terriers, dancing to country-western music, collecting glassware, playing Bunco, crafting, and traveling.
Born in Chattanooga, TN, to Orville Lee and Frances O’Shields, June 2, 1950, Sharon was the middle child between two boys. In 1955, her family moved to Oklahoma City, but Tennessee always kept a special place in her heart. Throughout her life, she returned often to visit relatives, and created lasting memories with her nephews and niece by taking each of them on a special birthday trip to Chattanooga.
Sharon attended grade school in Oklahoma City, graduating from U.S. Grant High School in 1968. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Central State College and later received her master’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. She followed in her mother's footsteps as an educator and spent 24 years as a science teacher at Brink Junior High in Moore, Oklahoma, where she inspired generations of students through her curiosity, patience, and care.
Her love of travel led her to Arizona, Jamaica, Tennessee, Washington D.C., Ireland, Great Britain, France and many points in between. Her visit to Ireland was at the top of her bucket list and was forever a highlight.
She was always on the hunt for overlooked treasures at estate sales, and even won a lottery for tickets to attend the Antiques Roadshow. The experience and memory was unforgettable, even if the appraisal itself wasn’t a TV-worthy surprise.
One of Sharon’s greatest joys was spending time with her nieces, nephews, and their children. From special trips to craft projects to ice cream sundaes in her beloved vintage glass to the biggest stuffed bear anyone had ever seen, her love for her family was clear in those moments big and small.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville Lee and Frances (Martin) O’Shields and her older brother Michael O’Shields.
She is survived by her younger brother, Robert O’Shields (Karen); sister-in-law Pam O’Shields; nephews Michael O’Shields, Jr. (Bonnie); Kevin O’Shields (Karissa); Patrick O’Shields (Anne); niece Ariel O’Shields (Tyler); her great nephews Justin, Keelan, Aiden, Pace, Stephen, Aaron, and Dakota; and her great nieces Isabelle, Betty, Georgia, Katherine, and Trish; and her former husband Ed Hall. She was a dearly loved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, and will be missed by all who knew her.
