IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Kay
Speegle
October 1, 1942 – September 26, 2025
Services to honor the life of Sharon Speegle will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday October 2, 2025 at Church of the Servant - Chapel of The Cross 14343 MacArthur Blvd. Oklahoma City, OK
Sharon Kay Speegle, born on October 1, 1942, passed peacefully from this life on September 26, 2025, just days before her 83rd birthday. She was surrounded in her passing by her cherished family.
After her graduation from Moore High School in 1960,
Sharon spent much of her life as a devoted wife, adoring mother, and faithful servant of the Lord. She poured her heart into raising her children, but perhaps the role she treasured most was that of "Grammy" to her grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. To know Grammy was to know unconditional love, a warm home, and a plate of her famous chicken and noodles. There truly was never a greater grandma - from visits to the state fair and lessons on playing Yahtzee, going prom dress shopping, hosting family dinners, and creating holiday memories that will last a lifetime.
She met and married Mike Speegle later in life, and together they shared nearly 35 wonderful years of marriage. Their love was evident in everything they did, from their travels to Israel where they walked the lands she had spent a lifetime reading about, to the devotion they shared in their faith.
Those who knew Sharon will remember her timeless style and impeccable beauty. She had a gift for interior decorating and was ready to solve a family member's decorating emergency at a moment's notice. Whether it was rearranging a room or folding a towel just right, Sharon did it beautifully.
Perhaps Sharon's most lasting legacy will be her boundless generosity. With her church, with her family, or with complete strangers, Sharon insisted on giving to all in need.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Earl Bates and Frances (Manning) Bates; beloved grandparents who raised her Halcyon and Henry "Green" Manning; and her stepson Kris Speegle. She is survived by her beloved husband Mike Speegle; her children Lori Priess and her husband Randy, and Phil Burgess and his wife Andra; Leah Geurin and David Speegle; her grandchildren Brook and Joshua Burgess, Cristopher and Paige Priess, Colton and Lauren Collins, Alex Speegle, Kaci and Luke Speegle; four great-grandchildren; and countless friends and extended family members whom she loved dearly.
Sharon will be remembered as a woman of grace, faith, and endless love. She will be missed beyond words - and loved forever.
