Shelby Scott Burleson passed on to the other side on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the age of 42, following injuries sustained in a tragic motorcycle accident. The son of Jackie (Wristen) and Michael Scott Burleson, Shelby was born on August 5, 1981, in Duncan, Oklahoma. In 1999, Shelby graduated from Westmoore High School. He continued his education by pursing an electrical journeyman and alarm technician licenses, he was a master electrician. For many years, Shelby worked for Wiring Solutions as the construction manager and electrical foreman. Shelby was a true perfectionist at heart. He continually strived to better himself, excelled in his professional trade, as well as being a loyal and reliable friend and family member. Shelby was a "knight in shining armor" to so many and always loved to help others and took great pride in being of service to others. In his spare time, Shelby enjoyed spending time with his sons, being outdoors, riding motorcycles and even running from the police just for fun. Some of Shelby's proudest moments were being there for the births of his sons and all the precious moments he spent with his sons, Brandon and Tyler. Being a man, his sons could look up to be proud of and strived to exemplify in being hardworking, honest, family man, helping others, and good at his profession, was of the utmost importance to Shelby. Shelby had many different dreams and aspirations in his life such as buying his own home, opening his own business one day and most of all spending the rest of his life with his sons by his side. Shelby would want people to remember him for the man he had become and for the loving and caring father, friend and mentor he had become.
