IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shelley Marie
Cowley
May 26, 1956 – May 26, 2024
Shelley Marie Cowley passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 68. She was born May 26, 1956 in Roswell, New Mexico to her parents, James Allen and Beverly Jean (Groseclose) Lewis.
Shelley married her best friend, Royce Lynn Cowley on September 12, 1975, and together they raised their family. They had two children, Linden Scott and Mindy Marie. They had two grandchildren as well, Jackson Ryan and Jacob Scott. Shelley always saw the positive side of people, and you could find her in a crowded room just by the sound of her sweet laugh.
She played the piano in her Sunday School class, while Royce led the singing. Like her daddy, she took care of finances in several office settings. She worked for several different doctors' offices, including Dean McGee Eye Institute, where she met Dr. Mark Scott and Dr. James Richard. She worked with them to open Children's Eye Care where she worked for about twenty years as the Office Manager. Upon retirement, she went on to further enjoy life with her family.
Shelley enjoyed traveling and always planned the family vacations. She loved capturing memories of her family in photographs. Her family was her whole world and she spent as much time as possible with them. She loved playing with her grandsons and attending their ballgames and school and church activities. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shelley was preceded in death by her father, James Allen Lewis.
Shelley leaves behind her loving:
husband, Royce Cowley;
son, Linden Cowley;
