Shirley Ann Snyder, entered Heaven's gates on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the age of 78. The daughter of Roy and Aretas Oleta (Stanford) Brown, Shirley was born on September 15, 1946 in Mansfield, Arkansas. Growing up in Oklahoma, she attended Columbus Elementary, Jackson Jr. High and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1963. Soon after graduation, Shirley married the love of her life, J.L. Snyder, on June 14, 1963. Shirley and J.L. were blessed with three children and more than 62 years of a wonderful and loving marriage together. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Shirley also worked as for the District Attorney's Office in Oklahoma County under Bob Macy for10 years. She served the Lord and others with all of her heart. Shirley's family was the center of her world, always making certain their every need was met. Shirley's love for her family was unwavering and unconditional. An avid reader, Shirley religiously read through the entire Bible twice a year. Her genuineness, generosity and servant's heart was a true testament of God's love and her love for the Lord! She loved and lived life with zest and embraced trials and victories with grace! She made the most of her moments, especially those spent with her husband, kids and grandkids. They were the truest joy and center of Shirley's life. The magnitude of positive inspiration and influence that Shirley had on others has helped shape their lives for joy and success. Shirley wasn't one to sit still very long. Among some of her favorite experiences, Shirley loved to travel. The two most memorable trips were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in Hawaii and their trip to Germany in 1990.
