Susan Kay (Hill) Howen - Born: January 29, 1952, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and grew up in Purcell, Oklahoma. She was diagnosed with a weak heart in 2007, which led to a massive heart attack on April 2, 2020, and resulted in brain damage. She passed away on April 15, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Susan was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friends to many more. She was adopted at a young age, and later in life reconnected with her birth family. She held many jobs over the years, a nurse's aide earlier in life and truck driver later in life. She loved being out on the highways and seeing the scenery. Due to health issues, her driving career ended and she missed it dearly. Susan made friends easily and loved all of them. She loved the holidays and cooking for all the "kids", and she could not just cook for a few people, there was always a lot of food. Susan was always baking something to entice everyone. She loved all our family get-togethers, from way back in the days of bonfires and cook outs, to the big Easter egg hunts we would have each year. She loved decorating and celebrating Christmas. She couldn't just sit around. She was full of life and always had to be doing something, whether it was playing with the dogs, cleaning, cooking, or working in the flower beds. Susan loved all her fur babies and they meant the world to her, and her fur babies (dogs) are missing her, and are constantly searching for her. She loved sitting outside for hours and watching nature and all the animals. She loved the hummingbirds and red birds, watching them chase each other. She enjoyed talking to family and friends on the phone, and always ending those calls with "I love you". She loved watching fire in the fire pits or a brush fire burning, she was known as the "firebug". She loved her family and friends, and loved spending time with them. Her final words before leaving us were "I love you".
