Susan Kay Sutter passed away January 24, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born March 17, 1946 in Marlow Oklahoma to Clyde and Claudia Talla Holcomb. After graduating from Oklahoma City Central High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science from USAO (formerly OCLA) in Chickasha, and a Master of Education from University of Central Oklahoma. She taught in Oklahoma City Public Schools for over 30 years. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Judy Wood, and brother-in-law James, and her husband Owen Sutter.

Susan and Owen enjoyed sharing with their dogs Dash and Tess, traveling with family and friends, and international mission work as members of the United Methodist Church of the Servant. She formed many lasting friendships through her college days, her travel group (GTT), her work in education, the Salvation Army Women's Auxilary, and her church family.

Susan is survived by stepson Craig (Lexi) Sutter and Grandson Skylar Ashke; nieces Cindy Hampton, Linda Wood Singley, and Pamela Wood. Additional survivors include great nephews James (Kendra) Hampton, Brian (Alyla) Hampton, Mikie Singley, and nieces Jennifer Singley, and Bonnie Espinoza (Tino), also, Great great niece Layla Schones and nephew Marshall Hampton.

Susan's generosity, encouragement, and quick wit will be sorely missed.
