THE FAMILY HAS REQUESTED THAT ALL FUNERAL ATTENDEES WEAR PURPLE IN HONOR OF TARA

Tara Beth Storey lost her valiant fight with leukemia and went to glory with our Lord on Wednesday, January 18,2012. She was the precious daughter of Jim and Ellen Storey of Newcastle, and the beloved sister of Megan Renae Storey (20) and Jared Allen Storey (15). She graduated from Newcastle High School in 2007 and had been attending Oklahoma City Community College working on a library tech certification. She had volunteered at the Newcastle Library since shortly after graduation from high school. Tara was a member of Newcastle Christian Church where she was dearly loved by her church family. She enjoyed latchhooking, movies (especially Disney), and traveling with her family (especially to Colorado for Thanksgiving). She loved the color purple, model cars, Ty Beanie babies, animals (especially cats & dogs, and most especially her cat, Patches), and all stuffed animals. She was a creative person, and loved to draw and paint. Tara had an encyclopedic memory, which her family greatly depended on. She was a good friend to all who knew her, including the people in her water aerobics class at the YMCA. Tara's passing will leave a big hole in her family, the library, Newcastle Christian Church, and the YMCA, but she has a whole new body and suffers no longer, as she resides now in the daily presence of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her:
Paternal grandfather, Lester Storey;
Maternal grandparents: Robert Warman and Osa Christensen.

She leaves cherished memories with her:
Parents, James and Ellen Storey;
Sister, Megan Renae Storey, 20 years old;
Brother, Jared Allen Storey, 15 years old;
Countless other loving family and friends.

A celebration of Tara's life will be held at Newcastle Christian Church, 2200 N. Main Street, Newcastle, at 10:00 am on Monday, January 23,2012. We will have visitation at Newcastle Christian Church from 4-6pm on Sunday, January 22,2012.

OUR LOSS IS GREAT, BUT HER GAIN IS GREATER
