Obituary

Temperance Ellen (Tempe Rae) Creecy went to be with her Heavenly father on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the age of 87. The daughter of James and Maryann Arnold, she was born October 6, 1937, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She grew up attending schools in the Frederick, Oklahoma area and graduated from Frederick High School. Temperance continued her education at Southwestern State College and graduated from Oklahoma State University, where she earned a degree in Family Relations and Child Development. She married Kenneth Peace and the couple was blessed with two children. On April 4, 1969, Temperance married again, to her life-long companion, Roger Creecy. Together, they shared more than 56 years of marriage. This union of marriage was blessed with one child. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Temperance also worked as a social worker for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services for many years before her retiring in 1998. She was a devoted member of Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Temperance was very passionate about religion, politics, bicycling and classical music, but nothing was as important as being with her family, whom she loved with all her heart.
