The Houghton family invites you to stay to share any fond memories of Terry following his services.
Our hero, Terry Houghton went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2023, at the age of 66. He was born on January 7, 1957 in Great Falls, Montana, to John Dennison Houghton & Helene Teresa (Nyquist) Houghton. Terry spent his childhood in Great Falls, where he developed many friendships until his graduation in 1974 from Great Falls High School. He enjoyed river rafting, hiking, camping, and riding through the mountains of Montana on his motorcycle. After high school, he began training for a career and had a large amount of technical training in HVAC school in Billings, MT. Soon after, he met the love of his life, as Terry would say "smoking hot", Tereas (Isenberg), and the two were married on February 13, 1981. Terry and Tereas shared a love for music and spent many nights rocking out to their favorite bands at the Billings Metra Concert Hall. They enjoyed lively gatherings with their many friends, overlooking the big skies of Montana, and "hill climbing" in Jeeps. As their love grew, so did their family as they welcomed their first and sweetest daughter, Nicole Kathryn. They moved to Oklahoma City, OK in 1981, and in 1983 Terry started his career in the oil field with Meter Check Inc. Their small family grew when they welcomed their second and feistiest daughter, Danielle Renee. The family loved road tripping through the mountains from Oklahoma to Montana, where Terry's heart longed to be back with his parents and siblings. Terry's career as a Senior Measurements Specialist took him all across the nation, from Washington State to Tennessee. Terry was a vital employee to his workforce. He was so remarkably dedicated to his career, that he continued training and mentoring coworkers, as he fought the toughest battle of his life. More than anything, Terry loved spending time with his family. Through his daughters, he gained the sons he never had, who together enjoyed shooting guns, watching movies, and talking stocks. He was also blessed by the arrival of his grandchildren, Makyla, River, and Sam. He enjoyed showing love and dedication to family. Terry left this world surrounded by his most precious girls. His most admirable qualities were his contagious laughter, green thumb, being Mr. Fix It, kicking butt in board games, but most of all his intense love and adoration for his family. While Terry is no longer with us here, we know that he will be forever in our hearts, and his legacy will live on through our memories eternally.
