Terry Renee (Rickman) Butler was born October 16, 1959 in Memphis, Tennessee the daughter of Ervin G. Rickman and Barbara Jean (Stott) Mayfield. She completed this life on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 65.

Terry lived every day with Jesus at the center of her life. Her love for the Lord was unwavering and radiated through every word she spoke, every act of kindness she offered, and the quiet strength she carried in every season of life. Her faith wasn't just something she believed — it was who she was.

Terry spent 46 beautiful years married to Greg Butler, the biggest love of her life. Their story began as teenagers in Memphis, Tennessee, where a spark between them quickly grew into a lifelong bond. Their greatest joy came with the birth of their daughter, Jessie, who was the light of their lives. Terry took immense pride in her family, finding her greatest purpose in the roles of wife and mother.

She found joy and freedom on horseback, spending countless hours riding through open pastures, breathing in the peace that only horses and the land could bring. Her bond with her horses was one of deep understanding and true companionship.

And at home, she adored her cherished cats, Cameo and Coco, who were her sweet little shadows and constant comfort.

Terry is survived by her husband, Gregory Alan Butler; her mother, Barbara Jean Mayfield; her daughter, Jessie Mason; her grandchildren, Tyler Mason, Madison Mason and Riley Mason; her step-sisters, Theresa-Ann Day and Patricia Hickson.
