Theresa Lucille (Copple) Richards was born October 8, 1937 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Italian Immigrants, Anthony and Rose (Mangino) Copple. She completed this life on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at her home in Oklahoma City at the age of 88.

Theresa was married to Nicholas Richards on October 27, 1956. They lived in New Castle, PA until 1959 when they moved to Northfield, New Jersey where her husband was employed by the FAA. In 1971, they were relocated to Pittsburgh, PA where she became an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. Theresa began a career as a jeweler at Broadway jewelers in West Park, PA. In 1981 her husband was again relocated by the FAA to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she continued her career as a watch buyer for BC Clark jewelers at Northpark Mall. Her career there spanned 30 dedicated years from 1981 until her retirement in 2011. Theresa was a passionate supporter of Golden Retriever rescue organizations and loved her many golden retrievers she owned over the years.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Nicholas, her parents; her brothers, Donald Copple and Francis Copple.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Janice Bodenhoff and her husband, Keith of Oklahoma City; her son, Nicholas Anthony Richards, Jr. and his wife, Mary Diane of Charles Town, WV; her granddaughters, Melanie King and Amanda King; and her step-grandchildren, Casey Bodenhoff, William Bradshaw, Joseph Bradshaw, Victoria Bradshaw and Meredith Casagrande.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
