Born on June 3, 1933 in Rach Gia, Vietnam, Mrs. Nguyen had worked as a secretary for the city of Saigon during the sixties. She married her longtime friend, Nguyen tan Si, and together they had 7 children. After 1975, due to her husband's rank of Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, he was sent away to the re-education camp for 10 years. During those hard years, Mrs. Nguyen, by herself, fought against all odds, and successfully raised her children. Mrs. Nguyen, her husband and four of their children came to the United States in 1990 under the H.O. program. Since then, she had devoted all of her time and love to her family. Mrs. Nguyen left us on March 8, 2018, and will be missed by her family and friends.
