Memorial Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday in the South Lakes Chapel, 4000 S. W. 119th OKC 73173

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the services.

Charlie, 61, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2015. The son of Fred & Frances Basden, Charlie was born April 2, 1954 in OKC. As a young boy growing up in OKC, Charlie delivered newspapers & later graduated from US Grant High School in 1972. Charlie worked as a directional driller for many years in the oil and gas industry. In the late '70s he moved to Lafayette, LA where he met the love of his life, Sheryl Ann Hurry. They married 6/5/1980. In 1986 they moved to Lake Texoma where they lived until 2014, returning to OKC. In Charlie's spare time, he enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, telling jokes, cooking, gardening, & hunting for Big Foot. He was a loving husband, father & brother who will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents & infant daughter. He leaves cherished memories with his loving wife of 35 years, Sheryl Basden; Daughter, Alicia Basden & finance Don Elrod; Son, Travis Basden & wife, Megan; Sisters: Linda Menard, Mary Jo Rogers, & Carla White; His beloved furry companion Cocker Spaniel, "Sherman aka Shermanator" And countless other loving family & friends.
