Timothy Ray Pouland, 39, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Integris SW Medical Center. He
was born in Humble, TX to Marilyn Pouland-Backus and Carl Grant Pouland on February 05, 1982. He
was raised in Lakewood, CO. and graduated from Green Mountain High School.
Tim attended Western State College in Gunnison, CO for two years then transferred to the University
Missouri where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Following
graduation, he worked in research labs at Colorado State University. He then attended the
University of Pittsburgh and received a Master's of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Following that he attended OU working on his PhD. He continued at OU Medical Center working in
several research labs. Tim did research on cancer cures, aging of the brain and nutritional
alternate sources just to mention a few. He published papers in an international science journal.
He also did Covid consulting for the Neenan Company.

Tim had a lifelong love of ice hockey. He attended Banff Hockey Academy in Banff, Alberta Canada
his sophomore year of high school. Tim traveled throughout Canada and the US on ice hockey teams
throughout high school. Tim loved playing goalie and played in a men's hockey league in Oklahoma
City and Edmond through last winter.

The great love of Tim's life was his son Michael. They had a precious bond.

Tim was preceded in death by his father Carl Grant Pouland. He is survived by his mother Marilyn
Pouland-Backus, son Michael Pouland, sisters Tiffany Myers, Audra Brown, Lynn Swenson and brothers
Grant Pouland and Robert Keltch Jr.
