Timothy Don Smith passed away on February 14, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. To say that cancer won the war would be a mistake; no one who was surrounded by so many friends and loved ones who will cherish and relish his memory with such fervor would be considered defeated! Tim was born in Oklahoma City on March 27, 1952 to parents, Rex and Betty Smith and graduated from Putnam City High School. He was a proud Marine Corporal and a Vietnam Veteran. Tim attended Rose State College and graduated from Central State University. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, was a WWII enthusiast, enjoyed movies, music and yoga. Tim retired from Oklahoma County after working as an appraiser for 34 years; then ran out and bought a Harley and loved it to the very end. Tim is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Kert Browne, Carolyn Johnson and husband Adam, Samantha Smith and Michael Smith; grandsons Mason, Colin and Preston; brother Mike Smith and wife Linda, nieces and nephews; his best friend, Allison Pults and many loving friends. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 18th at Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd.
