Tomas was born in Oklahoma City on November 24, 1972 to Amelia Delgado. He passed away on September 26, 2021 in Oklahoma City. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, Tomas graduated from Capitol Hill High School where he was active in sports and the R.O.T.C. program. While attending Capitol Hill High School, Tomas met and married his high school sweetheart Martha Gonzalez on May 7th 1994. He began his career as a Corrections Officer and Deputy for the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. Tomas would later go on to join the Oklahoma City Police Department in 2001. Starting his OCPD career as a patrol officer, Tomas served the same South OKC community he grew up in. After patrolling, Tomas served as a School Resource Officer for Centennial High School. He eventually found himself working as a Police Athletic League officer, where he coached and mentored kids as well as mending relations between the Police department and the community. Through the final decade of his OCPD career, Tomas lead the OCPD Cadet Program. The OCPD Cadet Program focuses on mentoring inner-city youths from the Oklahoma City Public School System (OKCPS) who aspire to have a career in law enforcement. Aside from his law enforcement career, Tomas was heavily involved in his community. Sitting on several boards, Tomas was a member of The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, United Way OKC, South Chamber OKC, as well as Metro Tech Technology Centers.
Family always took first place in his life, coaching little league teams that his three sons were involved with, hosting Sunday family cookouts & enjoying anytime he could gather the family at other events, he also possessed a passion for music, sports, and time spent with his wife Martha.
He will always be remembered as a loving son, devoted husband, father and mentor to many whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father Joe.
He is survived by his wife Martha; sons Emelio, Antonio & Lorenzo; brother Kevin & Mother Amelia.
