Tommie Jean Campbell was born in Talihina, Oklahoma on 9/14/1934, where she was also raised and graduated high school. In 1953, she met and married the true love of her life Lee Keith Campbell. During their 60 years of marriage they had two beautiful children, Sheryl Kay and David Keith, whom she loved with a deep and fervent passion. In March of 1965, she started a career at US Employees O.C. Federal Credit Union as a teller. Through her years of dedicated service and hard work she retired in 2002 as President and CEO. During her service at the credit union Tommie was the first woman to be elected to the Board of Directors to establish the credit union service centers in the state of Oklahoma. Tommie loved and cherished her time at the credit union and always looked forward to the annual meetings. Tommie fought a brave and long battle with diabetes as well as other life limiting illnesses; however, she never let her health damper her spirit or will for living life to its fullest extent, with vibrancy, excitement, and a generous heart. She is preceded in death by her mother, Fairy Jean Mitchell, her father Sumner Mitchell, her brother James Mitchell and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mitchell. Tommie is survived by her loving faithful and cherished husband, her beautiful children, her son-in-law Jerry Martin, daughter-in-law Jamie Campbell, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and a host of numerous friends and extended family. Visitation will be Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2pm, June 3rd at Vondel Smith North Colonial Chapel with burial following at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
