Obituary

Tommy Joe Beets went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 77. The son of Vivian Earline (Frazell) Beets and Jefferson Joe Beets, Tommy was born on December 27, 1943 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at Chickasha Hospital. Tommy grew up attending schools in the Minco area and graduated from Minco High School in 1961. After graduation, Tommy joined the United States Army and honorably served his country. He later attended college at Oklahoma City Community College where he studied general education. Tommy happily married Melinda Smith on June 9, 2001 and together shared more than 20 years of marriage. In addition to being a loving husband and devoted father, Tommy provided for his family by working as a welder for Don Ray Outdoor Advertising, building billboards. Belonging to Myrtle Lodge #145 where he served as Secretary for 17 years, Tommy thoroughly enjoyed serving as a 33rd Degree Mason and white hat Scottish Rite member. He was proud to serve as a Masonic Funeral Service Honor Team member knowing that was the last way he could honor his fellow brothers. He took great pride in doing these services. Known for his willingness to help anyone, Tommy was also known for his excellent cooking skills, especially when it came to smoking all kinds of different meats. Everyone always enjoyed the benefits of his cooking when Tommy smoked his meats. Tommy loved and cared deeply for his family who he loved with all of his heart. Although he is no longer present with us on this earth, Tommy will continue to live on in our hearts each day.

He was preceded in death by his:
