Toppy, 73, was born December 11, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and passed from this life on May 15, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of 5 daughters born to Margaret and Harold Nelson. She graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa and went on to earn her Bachelor's in Science from the University of Oklahoma allowing her to work in the medical field as a medical technologist. Toppy enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading books. She was an animal lover and cared for them, especially cats. One of the ways she was able to show her support for animals in rescue was donating annually to the ASPCA. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and walking through the sand, feeling the breeze, and listening to the waves. However, there is nothing she loved more than her family and making memories with them. She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Harold Nelson. Toppy is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Goodson and her husband Rick Goodson; grandchildren, Brennon, Emma, Camdyn, and Corbyn; sister, Susan Nelson and her daughter Emily Nelson; sister, Hali Patel-Nelson and her daughter, Avery; sister, Becky Lane; and sister, Cara Ballard.

A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Vondel Smith North Colonial Chapel (13125 N. MacArthur Blvd, OKC, OK 73142).
