Truman Talley was born in Oklahoma City on September 26, 1937 to James Alfred & Alice Naomi (Rose) Talley. A lifelong resident he attended Jackson Junior High & graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1955, then went on to attend the University of Oklahoma. In 1957 He married Mary Ann Nance together they raised two children, Dianne & Tammie. Beginning at the age of 15 Truman started working for Gordon Grider & the Grider Foods family, starting at the bottom he worked his way up to Executive Management for G.F.F. Foods & at the time of his retirement in 2000 he was Owner & Operator of the G.F.F. Foods Santa Fe location in Moore, OK. Truman was an avid golfer & along with his wife Mary they could often be found at Hidden Trails Golf & Country Club where they were long time members. Truman was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church & the Retail Grocer's Association.
Truman was preceded in death by his parents & one brother Talmadge Talley. He leaves cherished memories with his wife Mary of nearly 65 years; daughters Dianne McGee & Tammie Brown & her husband Milton (Sonny); four grandchildren Ian McGee & his wife Cobi, Abby Curry & her husband Matt, Benjamin Brown & his wife Meg, Emily Cowan & her husband Trevor; three great grandchildren Sterling & Grace Cowan & Sara McGee; one sister Sharon Gentry.
