Twila LaVerne Davis Willard, 73, deeply loved wife, sister, aunt, mom, granMee, and friend passed from this life to her new home with Jesus on May 25, 2025 surrounded by her family at her home. Twila was born in Oklahoma City on September 27, 1951 to Paul Lilburn & Addie Jane (Callahan) Davis.
Twila graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton Oklahoma in 1969. After attending Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK, she was recruited by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, Oklahoma City, OK where she worked for close to two years, assigned to the Special Advisor for Health, Education and Welfare in the Governor of the State of Oklahoma's Office. She then accepted a position as executive secretary in the Office of the Chief of Staff at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. She continued her career with the medical center serving as Administrative Officer of the Radiology Department, then Administrative Officer of Mental Health Service and Psychology Service. She earned outstanding performance evaluations and many awards during her forty-two years of federal service. She was a highly valued management team member. She retired November 1, 2014, following a lifetime of dedicated service.
Twila was preceded in death by her mother, Addie Jane Callahan Davis; father, Paul Lilburn Davis; grandparents Eliga J. Callahan and Mabel Imogene Demmitt Henderson Callahan; Brother Paul Douglas Davis; and niece, Ashley Dawn LaGrow.
She is survived by her: husband of almost 44 years Rick Glen Willard; two children Kyle Willard, and Jennifer Willard Robinson and her husband Lee Robinson; two precious grandchildren, Grey Robinson and Berkeley Robinson; Sister, Patricia Ann Davis LaGrow and her husband Gary LaGrow; nieces Tina Cherie Davis Williams and Misti Cherie Davis Harrison and a host of dear friends whose lives she touched. Twila was active in her church throughout her lifetime and had a deep love for her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She studied God's Word daily and read the entire Bible through about 20 times.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Twila's honor to Crossings Community Church.
