Vada Laverne (Jones) Gravitt of Moore, Oklahoma, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born on January 4, 1931 to parents, Clarence Earl and Bertha (Guthrie) Jones, in Garvin County, Oklahoma. Vada met Earl Gravitt and they were married on June 26, 1949. From this union came three daughters, Priscilla, Pam and Nancy, whom they loved very much. Earl and Vada enjoyed each other's company, and were known to travel the open waters on cruises, every chance they got. They were longtime members of Dumas Avenue Baptist Church. They transferred their membership to Southern Hills Baptist Church. After Earl passed in 2009, Vada remained a member. In her spare time, Vada enjoyed gardening, making ceramics and became an excellent domino player. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and always enjoyed the family dogs. She will be missed by many.
Vada was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Earl; 2 brothers, Earl Jones and Carlos Jones; 3 sisters, Virginia Lyons, Wava Price and Sandra Jones; 2 sons-in-law, Larry Hayes and Phil Matheson.
