A prayer service will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Vondel L. Smith & Son South Colonial Chapel.
Viewing and visitation will begin 1 hour prior to the prayer service and until 8:00 PM Thursday evening.


A funeral service will be held the following day on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 2:00PM at Vondel L. Smith & Son South Colonial Chapel.

On Saturday, July 10th, 2021, Vanni Keochanthanyvong, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 83 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Vanni was born on July 1st, 1938 in Khongsedone, Laos. She married Souang Keochanthanyvong and they had six children, Gene, Outinn, Naly, Leck, Youth, and Niki. Both Vanni and Souang and 4/6 children immigrated to America in the 80's to start a legacy. She worked on an assembly line at a manufacturing company and retired later on. Vanni loved to watch Laotian music videos and true crime television. She loved to tend to her humongous gardens at home and definitely reaped the benefits of her labor. Every meal she made had a side of some sort of vegetable from her garden. She loved to talk to her friends on the phone and gossip and play card games with her grandchildren. She was soft spoken and so well loved by her friends and family. Vanni is survived by her husband Souang, her children Gene, Outinn, Naly, Leck, Youth, and Niki, her siblings back in Laos, her 10 grandkids, and seven great-grandchildren.
