Vera Jo Stephens joined the rest of "The Gang" on July 22, 2015. She will be terribly missed by those who loved her, but she is with those who made her so very happy. Vera was born in Oklahoma City on February 9, 1930. She was the youngest of seven children born to Max and Effie Elsman. She was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School where she played in the band. She was a business woman before there were business women. She started her own pottery shop before entering the mortgage business at Realty Mortgage and Sales Company where she spent over 50 years and was Sr. Vice President of Mortgage Loan Servicing. She was a member at Southern Hills Baptist Church where she taught fifth grade boys Sunday school in the 1990s.
Vera was preceded in death by her: Parents; Son ~ Berry; One brother; and Five sisters.
She is survived by her: Grandchildren ~ Jacki, Max, Zachary, Katie, and Shelby; Great grand-children ~ Tyler, Brookelynn, Abi-Kay, Grant, and Paige; and Numerous other loving extended family members and friends.
