Verbelene Rose (Lee) Anderson went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the age of 92.

Lee was born May 11, 1932 in Bradley, Oklahoma. She graduated High School in 1950 and enlisted in the Air Force in 1951. She spend four years in the Service where she was a secretary until 1954. Her last 2 years of Service were spent in Japan where she experienced a major earthquake in March 1952. She also helped organize an orphanage while she was there.

Lee was also president of Epsilon Theta, a Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, where she and her sister Nellie did volunteer work. She married Ray Anderson August 18, 1956 and had her first child Barbara in 1957. Jean, Nancy and Ray were to follow. Lee has 6 grandchildren, Chris, John, Holly, Cherie, Austin and Nick. 8 Great-grandchildren, Addison, John Jr., Kennedy, Kaylee, Devyn, Landon, Lauren and Olivia. Honorary great-grandchildren, Bryce, Autumn, Mercy and Gianna, as well as a slew of nieces and nephews.

Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Elizabeth Sims, husband Ray Anderson Sr., daughter Nancy Anderson, brother Jimmy Sims, sisters Debon McGowan, Wilma Nugent, Tommie Sanders, Bonnie Robison, and Nellie Anderson.
