Veta Christine Minderman, 86, Oklahoma City, passed away April 27, 2010. She was born February 8, 1924 in Forgan, OK to William and Alva Nash. She was raised in Forgan and graduated from Forgan H.S. She married Edward Kenneth Minderman June 10th 1943. They lived in San Leandro, Forgan, and Shawnee, before making their home in OKC. Veta had many hobbies including gardening, sewing, games, flowers, church activities, square and round dancing, and cooking. She worked in phone marketing and also with dealer trade driving. She was an avid fisher, and was known for being a political activist. She loved people, especially her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Ray Minderman, her brothers, Cheston Nash, Marvin Nash, Allen Warren Nash, and her sister, Mable Adams. She is survived by her husband, Edward K. Minderman, daughter, Carol Shipley, grandson, Bret Edward Shipley and wife Wendy Fleming-Shipley, great grandchildren, Megan Worthington, and John Hunter Shipley, sister, Eva Beebe, brothter-in-law, Alex Satterwhite, nieces and nephews, Joe and Pat, Patricia Ann, Elmer, Barbara, Reford and Marilyn, Marijean, and David and Debbie. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, at The Village Christian Church 9401 Ridgeview Drive. Family will receive guests at the funeral home 4-6 p.m. Friday, April 30. Memorial donations may be made to Full Life Hospice, or OMRF. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Wade McCoy and his staff for their loving care.
