Services to celebrate her life will be 11:00am Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel (6934 S. Western Ave)
Oleta Eldridge passed away on Thursday peacefully at the age of 98 years. She touched many lives by her generosity and kind heart. Oleta was born in Santa Fe, Oklahoma and graduated from Velma-Alma High School and earned her degree from Central State University. She taught 10 key at Oklahoma School of Banking for many years. In 1978 her and Buck opened Gulfport Seafood Market where they successfully operated it for 43 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Era McDaniel; brothers, Champ McDaniel, Gail McDaniel, and Don McDaniel; and her husband F.B. "Buck" Eldridge.
Oleta loved family gatherings especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She enjoyed baking for the holidays. She also enjoyed her lake trips to Eufaula where she liked to fish. She liked to help people. She liked to travel and camp mostly in Colorado and Texas in their 5th wheel.
