Obituary

V. Diane Duncan, 60, passed away on November 27, 2010 into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her passing brought to an end her 35 year struggle with kidney disease with her last 8 years on dialysis. She was born on 6/2/50 in Lubbock, Texas to Raymond T. and Doris M. (Pair) Davis. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1968 and received an Associate Degree from OSU in 1970. Diane was a Christian from an early age and remained committed to her Faith throughout her life. Diane met Perry Duncan in high school and they were married in January 1970. To that union they were blessed with 2 sons, Christopher Duncan and Adam Duncan. Her sons were the joy of her life. Diane worked as a paralegal, accounting clerk and office Manager for over 20 years finishing her career with the Mee, Mee, Hoge and Epperson Law Firm in January 2010 due to a decline in her health. Diane loved to go to church. She also loved to gamble and was a good craps player. But, mostly Diane loved her family. She loved her sons and their wives and "created Memories" at every possible opportunity. During the last 4 years Diane found a new "great Joy" that being her role as "Grammy" to her granddaughter, Cailyn Duncan. She cherished her time with Cailyn and considered her a precious gift from God. Diane was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Diane Duncan, who passed away at birth and with whom she looked forward to being reunited. She is survived by her Best Friend and Companion, Perry Duncan; son, Chris Duncan & wife, Lizette of OKC; son, Dr. Adam Duncan & wife, Dr. Rachel Duncan of OKC; her parents, Ray & Doris Davis of OKC; sister, Debbie Reinauer & husband, Tony of OKC: brother, Kerry Davis of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. A viewing for Diane will be held Tuesday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary North Colonial Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, December 1st, at The Chapel at Crossings Community Church at 14600 N. Portland, OKC, under the direction of Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Bellevue Nursing and Rehab Center and the Quail Creek Nursing & Rehab Center for their care of Diane during the last year. In addition, they want to extend a special thank you to her friends and health care providers at the Oklahoma Kidney Care Dialysis Center and to Dr. Chris Sholer, MD for their kind and loving care during the last several years. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Church of your choice in support of her Lord's work.
