Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, January 28, 2032 at the South Lakes Chapel, 4000 SW 119th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73173.

After a long battle with cancer, Vicky Lynn (Mikeman) Davidson passed away on January 23 at the age of 69. She died peacefully, surrounded by family. Her strength and courage during her final moments of life were a testament to how she lived. Her friends describe her as loyal, honest, adventurous and generous. Vicky was born on September 7th, 1953 in Hominy, Oklahoma, the eldest child of Randal and Kathryn Mikeman. She was raised in Oklahoma City with her sister and two brothers, with whom she remained close her entire life. Some of her favorite memories involved time spent at Lake Ouachita, where her family camped each summer. At this 'home away from home' the family boated, skied and cooked meals ranging from waffles to pies of every variety. After graduating from U.S. Grant High School, Vicky attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Over her forty year career she was loved and respected by those in the PT community. Her dear friend Shirley James worked with her many of those years and noted, "Vicky was a pioneer in the field of physical therapy, often implementing unique therapy interventions before they became evidence based. She was willing to try anything that would help her patient's progress. Everyone she helped at work was treated with love. She practiced PT with love." She was an active member of both the American and the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association. In 1978, she married the love of her life, Ron Davidson. Together they had two daughters, Rachel and Erin. Although Vicky worked long hours, she was an active and hands-on mom. She encouraged her daughters to follow their dreams. She spent countless hours attending their various sports events, practices and recitals. She was their biggest cheerleader and always ready with a shoulder for them to cry on. Above all, she was their best friend. Vicky's proudest moments were the births of her grandchildren. She was unmatched as a grandmother and became quickly and affectionately known as 'Gamby'. She made every moment a special memory with her grandchildren. Vicky was an active member of Habitat for Humanity and encouraged her daughters to support the organization. Together they worked on building projects in New Orleans and Jamaica. Vicky was an exceptional artist and excelled at charcoal drawing, sketching, watercolor and acrylic painting. She was an avid birdwatcher and a nature enthusiast. Her love of 'lake-life' continued and some of her happiest moments were spent at her lake house in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She had a passion for interior design and was quick to offer both welcome and unwelcome decorating advice whenever visiting the homes of family and friends. Vicky made a lasting impression on everyone she met. When she left the earth, she took a little piece of light with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Randal and Kathryn Mikeman and brother, Keith Mikeman. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron and two daughters, Rachel (McGuire) and husband, Chris, and Erin (Timmons) and husband, Paul. She is also survived by her stepsons Ronnie Davidson and wife, April and Scott Davidson and wife, Leslie. Perhaps her loving grandchildren will miss her the most: Kyla, Trey, Carmen, Nate, Ben, Bailey and Anakyn. Her sister Kim Rucker and her husband Jerry Tan and brother Kip Mikeman and his wife Crystal and sister-in-law, Cindy Mikeman also mourn her passing along with her beautiful nieces, Tara, Tamara, Emily, Amy, and Madison. She will especially be missed by her fur babies, most notably Hoss.
