Vineta J. Davidson entered into eternal rest with her heavenly Father on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 91. The daughter of Cenith (Burton) and William Arthur Barentine, Vineta was born on December 13, 1931 in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma. Vineta grew up attending the 1st grade at Friendship school in Cloud chief, Oklahoma. From the 2nd grade to the 11th grade, she attended and graduated from consolidated school in Cowden, Oklahoma. At 11 years old, Vineta attended a revival at Valley View Missionary Baptist Church and made the choice to get saved. Vineta met the love of her life, Eugene "Gene" Davidson and the two were united in marriage on May 8, 1949 at Vineta's home, 15 miles east of Cordell, Oklahoma. This union of marriage they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Jeanette, whom they adopted when she was 29 days old. Vineta dedicated her life to being a dedicated wife and devoted mother, wonderful homemaker, who always put the needs of others before herself. She also served 17 years working in the school cafeteria for U.S. Grant and Capitol Hill High School. In her spare time, Vineta enjoyed playing the piano and singing with the Trio, which included Paul and Ginger Ribelin. She was the piano player who sang high tenor. She also enjoyed fishing with Gene at the lake and listening to Blue Grass Music. Together they worshiped at Highland Missionary Baptist Church, they joined Southside Missionary Baptist Church where they remained faithful members ever since. Vineta was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
