Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Monday. Services to celebrate her life will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 6934 S. Western Ave. with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Virginia, 84, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 12, 2015. She was born April 16, 1930 in Alpine, TX to William John & Sue (Stoneham) Kepler. She married Monroe "Smokie" Jessup on Feb. 9, 1979 in Tulsa, OK. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles L. Smith & her only child, John Charles Smith & one sister. She is survived by her husband, Monroe, daughter, Gloria Jessup & Glen Adams, Sr.; granddaughter, Mandy York & husband, Wes, great-grandchildren, Ethan & Quinton; sisters, Barbara Coffee & Emilou Foreman; special niece & nephew, Sidney Hartman & husband, Kendall & Jim Smith & wife, Olga; & numerous other nieces & nephews. Virginia enjoyed sewing & crocheting, loved to dance, travel in the winter to South Texas & Yuma, AZ & in the summer to Ruidoso, but most of all she adored her husband & loved being a homemaker & taking care of her family.
