Virginia Johnson Jantz went to be with her Lord and Savior July 7, 2011. Virginia Dale was born to Clyde and Hazel Meeks in Parrish Chapel, OK and graduated from Vanoss High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands J.C. Johnson, Jr. and Herman Jantz, sister Betty Dunsmore, brothers Happy and Don Meeks and grandson James Ponder Sessums, III. She is survived by daughters Karen Fultz and husband Gary, Cynthia Sessums, Sandra Sleeker and husband Dennis, son Curtis Johnson and wife Kathy, sister Janet Bruton and husband Fred, brother Clyde Meeks and wife Joyce, sister-in-law LaRuth Meeks and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Granny. She was known for helping others and was a dedicated volunteer at Southwest Medical Center for over twenty years including serving two terms as Volunteer Auxillary President. Her passion was cutting out bonnets and caps for all the newborns at the hospital. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church for over 55 years. She
enjoyed her career as Office Manager and Optometric Assistant. Viewing will be Sunday from
12-8 PM and Monday from 8:30-9:30 AM at Vondel Smith South. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 11, 2011 at Vondel Smith's South Colonial Chapel. Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
