IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia Mae
Jimenez
July 5, 1929 – January 2, 2026
Virginia Mae Jiminez, fondly known as Aunt Mae, a devoted educator, faithful Catholic, and cherished member of The Daughters of the American Revolution passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026 surrounded by love and family. She was the daughter of George and Ethel Beach. Aunt Mae was born on July 5, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK.
She attended Oklahoma City Public schools. She worked for American Fidelity Assurance Company for many years while working towards her bachelors degree in elementary education which she received from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. She taught for over 47 years at Linwood Elementary School. She taught third grade the majority of her career. She dedicated herself to education, where she shaped young minds with patience, compassion, and unwavering belief in every child's potential. To her students, she was more than a teacher – she was a steady source of encouragement, laughter, and kindness. She married William Jiminez in 1943. She served for many decades on the Ebenezer Fletcher Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
Aunt Mae had a passion for genealogy. She traveled extensively throughout the United States researching family history, finding joy in uncovering stories, preserving legacies and connecting the past to the present.
She was the force behind every family Christmas gathering, the one who made sure traditions didn't fade, and family stayed connected year after year. She was full of generosity, kindness, and laughter. She leaves behind a world forever changed because of her goodness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
