Walfrid "Wally" Huskonen passed away in his Norman, OK home on November 26, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Wally was born September 20, 1941 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Walfrid and Mary Jane Huskonen. He graduated from Andover High School in Ohio, and Hiram College, Ohio. His Education Master's was from the University of Pittsburg. He met his wife Marcia while doing doctoral studies at Indiana University in 1971.

After moving to Oklahoma, Wally was active in elementary education until the oil boom attracted him to a technology position with TOTCO. As a non-degreed engineer, he built a portfolio of technical skills supporting supply chain procurement and engineering specifications which he took successfully to York Manufacturing. Perhaps a foundry pattern maker in the early 1900's was his DNA.
Wally enjoyed a long and active retirement of fitness and running and participating in the arts for more than 25 years. He was first Treasurer of the Museum Association Board of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art and a popular docent there. He was an active language and culture participant in his Finn international groups. He was a huge fan of the University of Oklahoma Dance Department, served on the Music Theatre Opera/Guild Board, and Norman Arts.

He is survived by Marcia and his boys, Roy and Bob. He is missed by his dear siblings Wallace, who lives in Brecksville, Ohio and Viena in Largo, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.
